Acting Head, Operations


The Head of Accounting and Finance is Jam Abu Dharr P. Usman, CPA. He finished his Accountancy degree at Mindanao State University -Iligan Institute of Technology in 2008, where he graduated Cum Laude. He took and passed the board examinations for accountants in the same year.

His first professional work experience was for Eva Care Management Consultancy, Inc., as Accounting Clerk and assistant to the Chief Accountant. He joined the Bank in 2011 and designated as assistant to the Head of Accounting and Finance. Due to his excellent performance in the department, when the position of the department head was vacated, he was appointed to take over.

Officer-in-Charge


Ms. Marietta M. Fondevilla is a member of the Board of Directors of AAIIBP and currently serves as the bank's Officer-in-Charge. She likewise serves as a Director of DBP Data Center, Inc. She has also held senior level positions in numerous private institutions.

Ms. Marietta M. Fondevilla graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1976 with a degree of B.S. Statistics and finished her post-graduate studies in 1997.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer


On May 28, 2015, the Board of Directors of the Al-Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines appointed Isidro Abas Sobrecarey as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He was earlier appointed as Board Director by His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III.

Chairman Sobrecarey first joined DBP in 1986 when he was Vice President and Head of the Southern Regional Management Team in Davao City with 12 bank branches. Rejoining DBP in 2011, he was Chief of Staff of the Board Chairman, and later Head of Corporate Affairs.  Prior to his appointment in Amanah Bank, he was Sr. Vice President and Head of the DBP Institute, the bank’s think tank.

He held senior and executive positions in the UN-affiliated Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Export-Import Credit Agency, Public Estates Authority, and Presidential Management Staff. He was a faculty member of the University of Asia and the Pacific, and Associate Director of Asian Institute of Management’s Gov. Jose B. Fernandez, Jr. Center for Banking and Finance.

With his stints in the government and business sectors he was directly involved in various Mindanao projects. His special assignments included being a member of the Presidential Task Force for Mindanao Rehabilitation and Development (RAD-Mindanao) based in Zamboanga City. In San Miguel Corp., he concurrently headed SMC’s Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area or BIMP-EAGA business unit.

Chairman Sobrecarey was an awardee of the Lester B. Pearson Fellowship from the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa, Canada; and UN Fellowship from the United Nations Centre for Regional Development in Nagoya, Japan.

Born and raised in Mindanao, he finished AB Economics at Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City. He took up graduate courses in Economics at Ateneo de Manila University, and obtained MA in Development Economics at Williams College, USA.

Vice Chairman Nuñez has built an extensive career in banking and management. He is the incumbent Vice Chairman of AAIIBP and Chairman of the Development Bank of the Philippines.

He is the current Chairman of Asian Express Money Services Corporation, a company in foreign exchange dealership, money changing, and global remittance services. He also serves as director of Camp John Hay Development Corporation, Northwood Resources Corporation, Citystate Savings Bank, Tranzen Group, Inc. La Costa Development Corporation, Agus 3 Hydropower Corporation, universal LRT Corporation Ltd., and Goldenville Holdings Corporation.

He held the posts of former director of Philippine Veterans Bank, serving as chairman of its board credit committee and member of the executive and corporate governance committees. He also served as vice chairman and chief executive officer of Federal Savings and Mortgage Bank from 1997-2000 until its operating officer of Premiere Development Bank form 1982-1986 and 1989-1991. He has also been affiliated with Allied Banking Corporation, and Rizal Commercial de Manila University.

Chairman Nuñez has a Bachelor of arts Major in Economics degree (Honors Program) from Xavier University, and is a candidate for a Master in Business Administration degree from the Ateneo de Manila University..

Director


Dir. Buenaventura is currently the President of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). Prior to his stint in the DBP, he was senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), where he also held key positions as head of its corporate banking and operations group. He also served as president of Prudential Bank, and was a former executive vice president of Citytrust Banking Corporation and vice president of Citibank, N.A.

Director Buenaventura earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of San Francisco. He has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

She likewise serves as a Senior Vice President of the Development Bank of the Philippines and as Director of the LGU Guarantee Corporation. She also served as Vice President of the Phil. Export-Import Credit Agency and Assistant Vice President of the Philippine National Bank - Investment Banking Group. She has also held senior level positions in numerous private institutions.

Mr. Abdul Y. Hadjisalam is a member of the Board of Directors of AAIIBP. He likewise served as a board member of the Southern Philippines Development Authority, Davao City, and member of the Board of Governor of the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI-ARMM) and as Regional Accountant of NEDA XII Regional Office Cotabato City. He has also held senior level positions in numerous private institutions.

Mr. Abdul Hidjisalam graduated from Far Eastern University, Manila in 1972 with a degree in Commerce major in Accountancy.

He was first appointed as AAIIBP Director on July 1, 2008.
